In reviewing your explanation regarding believers reigning with Christ during the Millennium (Revelation 20), I have a difficult time reconciling how Luke 22:28-30, which is spoken directly to the disciples during the last supper, applies to the entire church. Did you intend to include it? For completeness, the reference should start at verse 24.

"A dispute also arose among them, as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest..You are those who have stood by Me in My trials, and I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom, that you may eat and drink at my table..."
Reply from JPN: Hi, Luke 22:28-30 shows that the original disciples' faithfulness would be rewarded with specific positions of authority in Jesus' coming Kingdom. The application of this passage (reigning with Christ as a reward) applies to faithful service of all believers as seen in other passages mentioned like Rev 2:25-26.

I have a question on why was one of the lambs offered in atonement sent out to the dessert
Reply from JPN: Hi, yeah the two goats show two aspects of the Atonement. The first goat was sacrificed for the sins of the people showing there had to be a death to cover the sins. The second, the scapegoat, had their sins transferred to it and was sent away - never to be seen again. This represented the sins of the people being take away and never seen again! It's good news! There is more on the whole feast, including the goats, here:

I just found this website today, 10/8/23. I was searching for Ezekiel 38 war because of what Israel is experiencing. Your information is tremendous. Also, I can’t find a church close to me that offers bible teaching, so I am going to use this site to study and rightly divide the word. Thank you for this site.
Reply from JPN: Thanks, I'm pleased you liked it. And yeah with the weekend's horrific attack on Israel passages such as Ezekiel 38 and also Isaiah 17 concerning Damascus become all the more relevant. Certainly need to watch where this all goes!

Wondering what church you attend
Reply from JPN: I attended a non-denominational church called Living Waters in New Zealand for 25 years (which closed early 2020) where my brother and I spent most of that time on the leadership team. Currently meeting each week in a home Smile

Thank you Ian!
Just that really.

Thank you for what you do. You make learning enjoyable with your New Zealand accent and idioms! But far more importantly you make understanding easy! Priceless! And I am quite hungry and thirsty and these days finding good teaching is hard. So while you may long for your true home I fear you may need to wait longer. Eh, that could be a selfish desire talking… shrug… I am a work in progress after all!

God bless and keep you safe mountain biking!
Two wheel fun! I ride a motorcycle, so fun despite danger on two wheels … to that I can also relate.
Reply from JPN: Hey - Thanks for the great encouragement and really pleased you have persisted with this strange voice and odd sayings! Though I'm pretty sure it is everyone else that has the accent, not me! Smile May God bless you too on that bike... what we do for fun aye?

Hi JPN.
I am deeply troubled , matter of fact my heart is racing as I type, the earthquake in Morocco killed so many, then there was Libya floods, and lastly the wedding where a 100+ died. I have never read the Bible cover to cover so I am half baked...hence my question, will all those people go to hell"? what about innocent children who never heard of the gospel just the religion they grew in. I am not attacking any religion but from this thought I have been asking myself how many people from other religions die daily. It's terrifying, is there a chance on first rapture? sincerely disturbed Crying
Reply from JPN: Hi, yeah there are increasing natural disasters it seems, in line with what the Bible says about the last days. The loss of life is always horrible but stands as a reminder to all that life is short, fragile and unpredictable. Most importantly it presses home the need to be right with God in the time we have. In Jesus' day a tower fell killing 18 and his reaction was to emphasize again the need of those remaining to repent lest they perish (Luke 13:4-5). The Bible says we are appointed to die once and then face the judgement (Heb 9:27). It doesn't speak of a second chance after that for now is the day of salvation. In terms of children and babies that die, this is a wider question, addressed in the following link. Hope it helps.

Was Jesus required to attend the 3 main holy days (feasts) and what was the consequence, if any, if He did not.??
Reply from JPN: Hi, yeah according to the law (Exod 23:22-23, Deut 16:16) all Jewish males were required to travel to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover/Unleavened Bread, Weeks/Pentecost and Tabernacles. Jesus kept these as He perfectly fulfilled the law and the Gospels gives references to Him keeping Passover and Tabernacles (John 2:13, 7:2,10 - though Pentecost isn't mentioned in the Gospels).

I believe that our finite minds cannot always grasp the Infinite mind of our Sovereign God. I was struggling to understand the opposition from both camps. Your explanation gives me peace.
Reply from JPN: Great! Pleased to see it has given you peace and we sometimes need to hold two views seemingly in tension and not go to either extreme if the word has both. And one day, when we are with Him and no longer see through a glass darkly, we will have the perfect mind of Christ and see things clearly!

This is a masterpiece. It is incredibly difficult to find anyone or any site that teaches the full counsel of G-d. In a day when the world has gone crazy and the devil has almost succeeded in taking away the knowledge of the believer’s “Blessed Hope” (the Rapture) I can’t think of a site better equipped to return that hope to anyone who finds this treasure.
Reply from JPN: Thanks - not sure about the 'masterpiece' bit Smile but agree that a large part of the church has sadly moved from the 'blessed hope' - which is crazy given the signs around us and the way this world is descending. Glad you have enjoyed the site and appreciate that hope!

My husband & I are making "Legacy Bibles" for our grandchildren. We are notating prayers we pray for them as well as other nuggets of truth. I thought incorporating how Jesus can be seen in EVERY book of the Bible would be interesting. Thank you for this great resource! Smile
Reply from JPN: Sounds like those grandkids have some awesome grandparents! I'm sure it will mean a lot to them in the future reading your prayers and seeing how they were answered!

"This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come." Yes that's what the Bible says. First let's understand something first. When it says the end will come, it doesn't mean the coming of Jesus. It means end times(revelation). Before the coming of Jesus we first have to go through the end times, the beast has to regain power again, and we can see that the beast is barely gaining power. Us who are alive now might not even witness it's full power. After all the plagues and seals and so on, then the Lord will come
Reply from JPN: Hi, concerning 'the end' in Matt 24:14, Jesus was answering the disciples earlier question of 'what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?' (Matt 24:3). So yes, I see it referencing the end of the age at Jesus' return.

Love your study on "watchmen", Ezekiel's call by our Lord to be a "watchman" (sometime before the Babylonians routed Jerusalem, destroying the Southern Kingdom) was our Old Testament reading this past Sunday. I've been researching this mission work in light of the evil spreading throughout our nation, and most of its institutions, that attempts to destroy God's creation and truth, i.e., children and God's design for men and women, marriage, families, etc. Once Satan began attacking our children in the last year or so (gender distortions/surgeries/treatments), I can hardly sleep.
Reply from JPN: Yeah, totally agree. Very difficult days and especially hard when you see them coming for the children. 'Truth has fallen in the street' (Isa 59:14) so stay strong in Him, alert and sounding the alarm!

Study Viewed: The Feasts
I had just been thinking about the feasts and how Jesus had fulfilled them. And it had just come to my mind about the Feast of Trumpets and I was wondering about the significance of it in connection to The Rapture. I don't even know why I started thinking about this so I googled for some answers. Yours was the most comprehensive and confirmed what I was thinking. Reading about it was amazing and I was intrigued about how verses and events in scripture pointed to this fulfillment.
Reply from JPN: Thanks - yeah the feasts are awesome and often not taught in churches. Pleased you enjoyed the study!
