Thanks JPN. I don't mind the reply is long read I believe it's the only way to help one understand......I do plan to check/research what other teachers you have quoted in other studies have to say, just to gain more insight. Needless to say by you being unselfish(books recommendations) I am adding into my library.
As I went through old Question and answers I came across below. Boy you must fall off your seat laughing. I love the reply too indeed humour was given to you full measure shaken together, overflowing lol... Can I sell my daughter, stone my neighbours and other curly questions Reply from JPN: Hehe, I remember it well Yeah that guy didn't score overly high in the 'genuine' meter so I thought I'd have a little fun with the answers - before telling him something that he did need to know!

Are Jewish Holy days for the church today
|
I read your response to this question and felt it was an accurate answer. In the O.T. those holy days all were pointing to our Lord Jesus and were all perfectly fulfilled when he came, died and rose again. I see value in looking at these holy days through the lens of how Christ fulfilled each of them. It serves to strengthen my faith in him. Gary in Tennessee
Reply from JPN: Thanks Gary. We are certainly on the same page. And the fall feasts will also be fulfilled perfectly in the events surrounding His return!

1st Timothy 2

Greetings JPN.
Kindly could you do a small study on the above chapter please. I have heard some bible verses were meant for particular groups at the time because of their "behaviour" is this true and could this be one of it? Lastly when Isaiah encountered God, Isaiah 6:8-13..what "posture" "position" do we need to get into such realms? Is it a way of prayer( something we have to do) or God allows (opens)us into those realms? Thank you . Reply from JPN: Hi, there is an older Q&A on 1 Tim 2 here:
https://jesusplusnothing.com/series/post/ispaulagainstwomen With Isaiah, God sovereignly allowed him to see a vision of heaven and His throne because of the calling on his life. Unlike stories on Youtube, this was rare in the Bible and often those that had such an experience, like Isaiah, Daniel and Paul, would suffer greatly for His name. |

Great thoughts on the sin nature and the fact that it’s not been eradicated. Thank you for your study and effort. Solid biblical resources that have been fleshed out are very helpful in the busy schedule of the day and age in which we live.
Feel free to email me any prayer request you might have. Reply from JPN: Thanks - Glad it was helpful.

I started reading Ruth and I'm now Daniel
|
I was asked to take over for my Sunday school teacher when he mysteriously lost his voice for several months. It's a small older group of seasoned Christians. I started introducing them to your commentary on Ruth chapter by chapter, and now we've moved on the Daniel. Your commentary is a blessing and I feel guilty that I haven't found where I can donate to you ministry. You really make the Bible come alive and I get so much knowledge and understanding from it. Thank you.
Reply from JPN: Thanks! No need to feel guilty... the reason you haven't found how to donate is because you can't find what isn't there! We don't want anyone's money but really pleased that you have enjoyed the studies and appreciate you taking the time to let us know. May God bless your little group!

Mystery of the 17th
|
Good article, thanks, however I can't find anywhere in the bible that God changed the 7th month to the 1st month, can you show me where you get this from? I know He said during the Exodus this would be the beginning of months, but that does not say there was as a change, it could simply be a reminding them as perhaps they lost their calander while living under the Egyptians. So where do you get this changing by 6 months from? Thanks.
Reply from JPN: Hi, yes this is based on Ex 12:2. Even today the Jews have both a religious and civil calendar. Their 'New Year' is Tishri 1, the 7th month. John Gill writes on Ex 12:2: "it shall be the first month of the year to you; which before was the seventh; while the Israelites were in Egypt they observed the same beginning of the year and course of months as the Egyptians, as Josephus intimates; and with the Egyptians, the month Thot was the first month, which answered to Tisri with the Jews, and both to our September, or a part of it, so that the beginning of the year was then in the autumnal equinox, at which season it is thought the world was created; but now to the Israelites it was changed unto the vernal equinox, for this month of Abib or Nisan answers to part of our March and part of April; though indeed both beginnings of the year were observed by them, the one on ecclesiastic, the other on civil accounts; or, as Josephus expresses it, the month of Nisan was the beginning with respect to things divine, but in buying and selling, and such like things, the ancient order was observed."

Super message!!
Most ministries I searched on the Web believe Trumpets is the rapture and Atonement the second coming. This would be devastating to the pretrib and prewrath narratives with only TEN DAYS between the two feasts. Of course, we can't be dogmatic. But there's something else, IMO, that presents a stronger case for that scenario. Mt. 24:31 and 1 Thes. 4:17 have the church ON THE EARTH at the Lord's coming. How can that be if she comes with the Lord? Pretribs say "tribulation saints" will be on the earth, not the church. But scripture is silent on that. God bless Reply from JPN: Hi, while Bible teachers may have a theory on what day of the year the rapture might occur, the fact is that none know for sure... and that is how God has designed it. In contrast, the day of the 2nd coming can be calculated once the antichrist has been revealed. On 'saints', this is not a term unique to Church age believers. It is used of believers in the Old Testament, the Church, and again after the Church has been removed.

"No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man." John 3:13 NIV
Please excuse my ignorance... Elijah and Enoch didn't die, John came in Elijah spirit, so if no one has ever gone into heaven, where is Enoch? "After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were coming and being baptized." Why did John continue baptizing? Was there difference between his and Jesus? John 3:22-23 NIV Grazi Reply from JPN: Hi, you aren't being ignorant concerning John 3:13 - it is a valid question on a tricky verse that people have given various explanations for. See https://www.gotquestions.org/John-3-13.html. On John the Baptist, his role was the to prepare the way for Jesus and his baptism was for Israel's repentance looking forward to the coming Messiah and Messianic Kingdom. There was obviously a cross-over period where his ministry decreased and Jesus' increased. As John said 'He must increase, but I must decrease.' (John 3:30). Christian baptism is in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and is an outward symbol of an inward spiritual reality - that the believer has been baptized into Christ and is associated forever in His death and resurrection.
