Super message!! Laugh

Most ministries I searched on the Web believe Trumpets is the rapture and Atonement the second coming. This would be devastating to the pretrib and prewrath narratives with only TEN DAYS between the two feasts. Of course, we can't be dogmatic. But there's something else, IMO, that presents a stronger case for that scenario. Mt. 24:31 and 1 Thes. 4:17 have the church ON THE EARTH at the Lord's coming. How can that be if she comes with the Lord? Pretribs say "tribulation saints" will be on the earth, not the church. But scripture is silent on that.

God bless

Reply from JPN: Hi, while Bible teachers may have a theory on what day of the year the rapture might occur, the fact is that none know for sure... and that is how God has designed it. In contrast, the day of the 2nd coming can be calculated once the antichrist has been revealed. On 'saints', this is not a term unique to Church age believers. It is used of believers in the Old Testament, the Church, and again after the Church has been removed.

"No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man." John 3:13 NIV
Please excuse my ignorance... Elijah and Enoch didn't die, John came in Elijah spirit, so if no one has ever gone into heaven, where is Enoch?
"After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were coming and being baptized."
Why did John continue baptizing? Was there difference between his and Jesus? John 3:22‭-‬23 NIV
Grazi
Reply from JPN: Hi, you aren't being ignorant concerning John 3:13 - it is a valid question on a tricky verse that people have given various explanations for. See https://www.gotquestions.org/John-3-13.html. On John the Baptist, his role was the to prepare the way for Jesus and his baptism was for Israel's repentance looking forward to the coming Messiah and Messianic Kingdom. There was obviously a cross-over period where his ministry decreased and Jesus' increased. As John said 'He must increase, but I must decrease.' (John 3:30). Christian baptism is in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and is an outward symbol of an inward spiritual reality - that the believer has been baptized into Christ and is associated forever in His death and resurrection.

I found out thanks to the Heaven Test that unfortunately I am not going to heaven Sad
Reply from JPN: Hi, the heaven test shows whether we can get to heaven by our own good works. On that we all fail. But it also shows that salvation is available by God's grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus on the cross for us all. Like the thief on the cross, place your hope and faith in the Lord Jesus and receive His free offer of salvation. I will email you.

A group of gals I am associated with at church decided to get together in addition to socially to do a mini bible study every couple of weeks. I am choosing the first one, and don't really remember how I ended up on your site, but so glad I did. I think your studies will be exactly what we need to go forward with our study plan and what we want to absorb more about from the Word of Jesus. Thank you much! Smile Heart
Reply from JPN: You're welcome and thanks for the note. Always nice to see the studies being used in other group settings so may God bless your meetings around His word!

Hi! I was so down and checking verse to help my spirit lift up. I came across this page and helped me realize more of the goodness of our Almighty Creator. He makes a way when there seems to be no way like how let the Israelites walk through the departed sea. It reminded me that nothing is impossible with the Lord! The Lord at the earlier times is still the Lord we have now. If He can makes miracles then, then He does miracles now. In love In love In love
Reply from JPN: Great. Yeah we all have to remember the Lord and bring Him into the situation. Thanks for your great testimony!

I was looking for a song that came to mind, "Let Jesus take the first place in your life," and came across this text that God will make a way. God has various ways to remind us Who He is and what He'll do. His promises to be with and protect us never fails. We become faithless when things seems to go opposite to what we know they should be, but God is ever Faithful.
I enjoyed being reminded of His love for me through this reading.
Reply from JPN: Thank you. God is ever faithful to His children. A good reminder indeed!

Awake at 0230 & as I often do, picked up my cell phone to read my online Bible app. But a song came to mind, something about the relentless love of God chasing after me." Which brought to mind "the Hound of Heaven" which I didn't know was a poem. Anyway SS I searched, here was found this beautiful study on the Holy Spirit! Though I read it thru too quickly because the lateness of the hour, what a blessing! And I saved the link for I must return to study this tomorrow. It came to me, " have you yet fully surrendered to the Lord? Jesus is soon to come! There's work to do!
Help me Holy Spirit!
Reply from JPN: Nice! Yeah it is an incredible poem written by a man who had an incredible testimony himself, having experienced the work of the Holy Spirit in chasing down those He is after! Glad you liked the study and hope you got some sleep afterwards! Smile

Help a sister out, since you are full of humour and laughter, it's hard to imagine you down, given the big assignment you have (your purpose) are there times you feel or felt lost, like you are in the wilderness, or in a maze, where despite praying and bible study (religiously) you find yourself wondering, and questioning, am I really touching God, am I in alignment, He is evidently silent. And you are also sure that you aren't living in sin...but still.... How do I experience "Christ in me hope of glory" how does one come out of such, Its like making petitions to a silent judge.
Reply from JPN: Hi, quite a few of the studies that I've written have actually come out of trying times when life was hard and heaven seemed silent. In fact they have probably been some of the better ones that people relate to! And it isn't that God isn't there or doesn't care... but He desires to teach us to live by faith, not sight. Be encouraged - Such times are not unusual in the Christian life. The message of 'Christ in you' isn't a feeling but a fact to be reckoned on. I would look again at what the Lord has done for you and just concentrate on that. Read the first three chapters on Ephesians and thank God for all the things that it says are true of you as a believer. Use the prayers in those chapters as your own prayers. May God Bless.
