Hello,
I was born and raised christian my whole life and still attend the same Baptist Church. Last year I began to be plagued with doubts and fears of my salvation and hell. I still haven't been able to get rid of them. Ive prayed and prayed and asked God for help and they wont go away. I have always believed in God, and Jesus as my Savior and I have asked Him to save me probably a dozen times but how do I know if I am believing enough? I want so badly to know Im saved and I want to focus on praising God more rather than always be afraid. I hate being scared and doubting. Thank you. Reply from JPN: Hi, I often quote something Corrie Ten Boom said:
"Look around and be distressed, look inside and be depressed, look at Jesus and be at rest." Faith comes by hearing God's word (Rom 10:17) and is always outward focused. Not faith in whether you believe enough. Watchman Nee wrote "All temptation is primarily to look within; to take our eyes off the Lord and to take account of appearances." Rest and peace comes by focusing on what Jesus did to pay for our sins and the promises God has made to us because of this, by His grace and not our works. I have written a few Q&A's for others that have had similar questions here: https://jesusplusnothing.com/series/post/how-do-i-know-i-truly-trust-jesus-for-salvation https://jesusplusnothing.com/series/post/what-should-i-do-if-i-have-doubts-about-who-jesus-is https://jesusplusnothing.com/series/post/assurance https://jesusplusnothing.com/series/post/i-suffer-anxiety-and-dont-feel-saved-or-have-peace-what-can-i-do |

Question
|
Why don’t I feel guilt or remorse when I sin anymore? Lately, I’ve found myself falling into sin more often, and something feels different. In the past, I used to experience a deep sense of guilt and remorse when I sinned. That feeling would drive me to repentance and help me realign with God. But recently, that sense of conviction seems to have disappeared. This change troubles me deeply. It’s caused me to question my spiritual standing. Have I lost my salvation? Has the Holy Spirit left me? Could it be that I’ve committed the unpardonable sin, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? How can I fix
Reply from JPN: Hi, the Holy Spirit doesn't leave the believer when we sin but we are told not to grieve Him (Eph 4:30). We are also not to be 'hardened' by the 'deceitfulness' of sin (Heb 3:13). Sin is deceitful becomes it promises something tempting and ultimately ends up taking, not giving, leaving one empty. If it continues the Lord can discipline us - but this is in love as our Father, to draw us back to Him (Heb 12:1-17). You obviously do care about it given you have written in. The starting place is to acknowledge your sin (1 John 1:9) before your heavenly Father and that without Him you will fail and can do nothing (John 15:5). And do the things you did at the start of your relationship with the Lord again. (Rev 2:5) That way you abide in Him and will be strengthened by His life in you, not fulfilling the desires of the old fallen nature. (Gal 5:16) Also have a look here about the unpardonable sin as this scares some believers who don't understand what it is:

Awesome study, I'm still on Chapter 1 but just what I needed!
Reply from JPN: Great... always good to hear that they are helping people. And no need to go fast... I'm pretty sure Martyn Lloyd Jones preached all year on Ephesians 1 - there is a lot to take in and meditate on!

God Deposited into my mind; Thyatira. I was just repeating that over and over in my mind. I feel like HE IS Encouraging me to the Letter to Thyatira.
I’m a STRONG believer in accepting ONLY that which is Written in Holy Scripture and NO-THING else, ESPECIALLY that which falls under the umbrella of ANY religion‼️ I ABSOLUTELY believe in what Holy Scripture says about a female Preacher/Pastor. Many females scoff at what Scripture says, but I TOTALLY understand the meaning and importance of that instruction. I see the Letter to Thyatira as validation for NO female holding that position. Reply from JPN: Hi, Yeah Thyatira is a warning for any that allow false prophets / teachers to rule and speak. The false 'woman' in scripture is also a prophetic pointer to a corrupted religious system that will exist in church history and go right into the tribulation. If interested, my study on it is here:

I'm currently studying the book of Revelation through the Bible Study Fellowship program. Your insight and teaching is superb! I enjoy reading your messages along with my study. Since I'm an Israeli believer in Yeshua, I especially appreciate your comments about the Jewish people. I'll be continuing to read all of your messages in Revelation this year. Thank you and Shalom!
Reply from JPN: Oh, thanks... that's awesome! Really pleased to see that you are a Israeli believer in Yeshua, and also from Galilee as well where the Lord spent so much of His time. May the Lord continue to bless as you study Revelation. Shalom!

Rev 13: Antichrist - The Coming World Leader
|
“Barbara Walters, the respected American journalist and broadcaster said of Obama: 'He made so many promises...We (the media) thought that he was going to be - I shouldn't say this at Christmastime, but - the next Messiah.' Hmmm - and how did that work out?”
Since you’ve decided to inject politics into your analysis, please, do elaborate. (Especially in light of the fact that the leader you described in your piece is literally identical to the guy who was allegedly just elected. It’s as if you could see the future.) Reply from JPN: Hi, the point is that we shouldn't make any politician, any leader, out to be a Messiah. Believers trust in the Lord. But a leader is coming where the world will do just that (Rev 13:3-4)

I think too many of us are reading what we believe instead of believing what we read. First off the thing I see clearly in Romans 11 and also John fin the Jesus and Paul are addressing individual branches Paul in addition is addressing the Jews and gentiles as a group. what was cut off were some of the branches it says. I encourage everyone to get into the word of God and let the word of God speak! Go with the clear interpretation and don't try to twist the scriptures to fit a certain theology. Read second Peter 3. There are too many scriptures throughout the Bible that a believer can depart
Reply from JPN: Hi, yes we should all be in God's word in these trying days. Blessings!
