Love the angle you present the book of Hebrews with and the quote from The Believer's Bible. That is how Mormons view those who leave the church. Yet, in doing so, I have found Christ on a much deeper level, especially finding good teachers such as you! Love how you explain that the author is showing the new believers how much more they have in Christ, even though they give up the temple, the traditions, the rituals and Jewish leaders.
Reply from JPN: Hey Janet - thanks again! Interesting take on the Mormon side being similar to the Jewish argument. I can see how they would try argue that but Jesus plus nothing aye!

Trumpet vs roaring waters in Revelation 1
|
I believe both the trumpet and the roar of many waters represent Jesus Christ primarily because of Revelation ch 1:12. He turned to see the voice that had been speaking to him like a trumpet and saw the Son of man whose voice was like the roar of many waters.. Verse 12 links the two together as the same person. God Bless!
Reply from JPN: Thanks Matthew - Yeah it isn't completely clear why there are two different sounding voices but it certainly does fit better with Rev 4:1 with the trumpet like voice being Jesus as well. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you for your teaching on The Holy Spirit-grieving or pleasing. You really managed to provide a more thorough teaching than I have heard in almost a decade.

Thanks for your work.
FYI You have a typo. You put Isaiah 59:20 and you meant to put Isaiah 65:20 no longer will there be in it an infant... Reply from JPN: Thanks! Have sorted that now.

I'm sorry, but your explanation about the concept of "two gospels" was a theological trainwreck. You completely left out what Paul referred to as "my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but is now made manifest... (Romans 16:25-26). You also left out I Timothy 1:15-16 where Paul clearly stated that the gospel he preached was "first" given to him as a "pattern to them, which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting." You also completely left out Ephesians 3:1-10 and Colossians 1:23-28!
Reply from JPN: Thanks for your kind words John

I was blown away when your site popped up because I was researching LORD verses Lord. I believe the Holy Spirit let me to this site and it's one I will continually use to get more out of Gods Word. It has opened up my eyes that I don't really see when reading my Bible and SS lesson. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and in a way a I can understand Gods Word better and what it means to my life and the world.
Reply from JPN: Oh that is great. Glad it was clear and understandable for you. Thanks for writing in!

Thank you for this study. I jumped in at 1:24-27 as I was looking for the phrase “Christ in you the hope of glory.” I’ll now go back to the beginning and work my way through what appears life-giving. Am in bed with flu, not feeling very lively. Thanks for cheering me up.

One word meant everything to me. “RETURN"
When doubt creeps in return to a time in my life when I knew GOD was real and I felt it truly in my heart and there were many times. This word helped to strengthen my faith. Thank you Reply from JPN: Thank you, and yeah that is true. We all struggle at times so it's good to remember what God has done in the past (Psalm 77:11-12) and return and do the things we did at first in our walk with the Lord (Rev 2:5).

Wow, what an eye-opener, thank you so much for this powerful message about prayer. Praying in the Spirit, praying at all times, with all prayer and petition, to be alert with all perseverance, and petition for all saints. Ephesians 6:18 is really a verse that we are to visit every now and then. Our power to defeat the enemy is in Prayer.
Reply from JPN: Thanks, pleased it spoke to you and as Corrie Ten Boom said "Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?” Blessings!

Thank you for the beautiful expository article about the Cities of refuge and how they relate to Jesus the Christ. Thank you, I can see that you're filled with the Holy spirit. Love you very much
Reply from JPN: Thanks! I enjoyed studying the cities of refuge so glad you liked it. God's word always points to Jesus and especially love how God puts these pictures and layers right throughout His word! It especially brings the Old Testament alive!

My Bible Study Class at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX is in the midst of the Book of Psalms. Reading Psalm 126 today: while searching on-line for commentary. I found your article. I have visited here before, but never left a comment.. This article has been a true blessing
Reply from JPN: Thanks Shirley - appreciate you taking the time to comment and pass on the encouragement. I believe we are on the home straight and Beulah Land is not far away! Blessings to your Church and study class.

I really enjoy the studies. They are clear and informative. I am studying Peter and you do not have a study. I’m saddened by this. Thank-you very much. May God continue to bless you all .
Reply from JPN: Thanks! Glad you like them. We do have a written series on 2 Peter, just not 1st Peter. And we should have a series starting on the life of Peter soon. May God bless you too.

But God
|
Wow! Just wow! God is so good. During my time with the Lord this morning I was feeling kind of blah, but God. Searching for scripture on love and Jesus being “bigger,” I fell on Roman’s 5:8 and Matthew 19:6, which made me ask how many times ‘But God’ and ‘But Jesus’ appeared in the Bible, (41 and 33 times respectfully),then Pastor Google led me to your site,,and I have spent an hour pouring through. The But God study was amazing and I’m so glad your ribs are healing, it could have been much worse. I too have had But God moments and I thank Him everyday for being there to rescue me! Thanks!!!
Reply from JPN: Yeah I wouldn't trust everything "Pastor Google" says, or everywhere that he tries to lead you, but we'll give him a pass this time!

I read this article and something strange happened. When i saw the numbers 14:17, i had a feeling to turn around and i saw the same number on the microwave. When i looked at the next number on the page, I turned to the stove and there was the second number. A few week after reading I had a dream and at the end everyone was booing this woman for believing in god. She thought to herself “when they mock the name of god, you know the time is near”… i was woken up to an 8 foot shelf fallen in my room, beside my head. I'm wondering what is happening because i don’t believe in signs. Pray for me.
Reply from JPN: Hi Hannah, whether coincidence and not, we always need to remember that God tells us to 'fear not' and that He who is in you, is greater than he who is in the world. With that in mind, here are a couple of other 14:17's that remind us of the Holy Spirit, our comforter, protector and enabler:
John 14:17 The Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. Romans 14:17 — “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. May God replace your fear and grant you that peace and joy in Him! |

Thank you for this wonderful sermon. I liked how you explained the importance of Michael the Archangel and how he is like a guard dog for Israel. Perhaps he was told to rest until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled and then he is to arise. I liked how you explained what AI can do nowadays, since that is something I am concerned about as well. Truly a blessing and a curse! You explained well what the shattering of the Holy people is. I liked your explanation of the 1260 and 1335 days, which I haven't heard an explanation about before, so thank you!
Reply from JPN: Thanks Janet - I can certainly see that you read or listened it well! Glad you benefited from it. Blessings!

Thanks for your helpful comments on this verse which has always bothered me. (Idle words) I’m like your questioner. I should never say another word. Thank you for the reminder that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
