Thank you for the thoughtful answer It made more questions. If all believers are raptured in Ch 4 who are those receiving the seal of God upon their foreheads, in Rev 7:2-3? It seems they are sheltered from the devastation all around them Psalm 91. A vast multitude along with 144K see the chaos, death, and destruction like spectators preserved they remain under the covering of Christ & received angelic protection. Rev 9:4 a distinction between those with and without the seal of ownership.

Reply from JPN: Hi, thanks - you could have a look at the Revelation 7 and 9 studies where some of this is addressed.

The LORD GOD has called on me to explain to you that as allergic as you are to good works and morality you must indeed earn your way into heaven. All the mental gymnastics and made up meanings of words the you use will really not help when you stand before the LORD for judgement. God doesn’t really need you to believe in Him or even wordship him because he believes in himself. and is not that insecure. What he really wants from you is to do good works and quit sinning . Only some effort from you will result in you attaining heavenly home. Earning is believing.
Reply from JPN: Hi Emily, Christians are saved unto good works, which God has planned in advance, but not by good works (Eph 2:8-10). My thoughts, like yours, are only relevant to the extent that they agree with scripture. But Jesus' words all always relevant so I pray, hope and trust that you will come to agree with what Jesus said about the critical importance of believing in Him. God Bless.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." (Joh 3:16-18)

You quote "We believe the Church is the Body and the Bride of Christ, composed of born-again believers from every race and nation.". But that is a subtle replacement doctrine that is widely taught by ministries. It is national Israel who will be the "born again" believers in the new covenant at the 2nd coming, as Israel was the firstborn of God , who fell in Acts 7 and are now in unbelief until the 2nd coming. and are numbered with the heathen nations. Israel's promises and prophecies are on hold till then. WE are one new man not a bride see rev 21 - a city.WE are quickened, sealed into Christ
Reply from JPN: Hi, its not any form of replacement theology. While the nation of Israel will come under the new covenant at the 2nd coming, Jesus instigated the new covenant for His disciples at the last supper (Luk 22:20) and made us servants of the new covenant (2 Cor 3:6). Paul said that believers today, the church, are the bride (2Co 11:2, Eph 5:32). More info here:

Study Viewed: How I can know if I'm truly saved
Thank you for answering this question. I've struggled with this for a long time. I believe that I'm saved and I've finally decided to just leave it in Jesus's hands and care. I know that he loves me and that I'm His because I was bought with the price of His precious redeeming blood. I know that my salvation is eternal and that no one can snatch me out of God's hand. I know/believe that God gave me His Spirit of Adoption (I believe that refers to His Holy Spirit). I understand that clearly and it is very reassuring because I was adopted at about 6 months of age. So why do I still sin and doubt
Reply from JPN: John - Good. On. You! That was really encouraging because you are standing on the promises of God's word and not letting yourself be moved to and fro from them. That is what faith does and it pleases the heart of God. It means you can rest on that solid foundation that is Christ and then grow from there. Thank you for sharing your testimony. Really pleased you did! Yes

Thank you so much for guiding my understanding - I have just done a study and think that there was more to the book than we pulled out and you have written a very comprehensive analysis. Blessings to you to carry on with the good work you are doing. I would like to do a study with my firend who hass not looked at the book - have you thought about writing a study guide for small groups? We need you and your grounded understanding in the everyday so let me encourage you to think about writing a study to guide undrstanding in your teaching post. Have a great day and thank you :
Reply from JPN: You are welcome. Glad you enjoyed Philemon - it is a great book with lots of hidden truth about Jesus! I haven't written study guides specifically for small groups as such but quite a few of the studies on this site did originate in a home group setting.

The first time I read Nehemiah chapter 3 I didn't get the deep understanding of the chapter. Then I came across this study as I was doing a research on something totally unrelated.
Then it occurred to me that God is in the tiniest details, A chapter that i read based on my on understanding had so much revelation. This show the importance of the holy spirit in our lives ,he will always guide you to the right direction.
BE BLESSED.
Reply from JPN: Thanks - glad it helped and yeah, one day we'll see that God is in all the details of His word! Smile

Hi, Yahusha didn’t rise on Sunday. He rose on Shabbat, just as it was ending and going in to Sunday. He was crucified on Preparation Day later in the day, put in the tomb right before sundown going in to Thursday and the Passover Meal. He was in the tomb from Wed sundown to Thursday sundown “1”, Thursday sundown to Friday sundown “2”, Friday sundown to Saturday Shabbat sundown “3”. He rose right before Sunday and perfect timing from when He was put in the tomb. He also Did not eat Passover with His disciples he was already in the tomb before the meal began. Read John. He’s the only right one.
Reply from JPN: Hi, yeah the day of His crucifixion is often debated. Personally I believe it was a Thursday though not losing sleep if someone thinks it was a Wednesday or Friday Smile Though it is a worry to say 'Read John. He’s the only right one' as this implies you don't believe the other Gospels are inspired by God... Mark is clear that Jesus rose on Sunday, the first day of the week: "When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene..." (Mar 16:9). Add to this that God specifically said that the feast of firstfruits (symbolizing Jesus' resurrection) was to be 'on the day after the Sabbath' (Lev 23:11) then it is case-closed for me that the resurrection was Sunday. I know of no scriptures that say He was raised on Saturday, the Sabbath. Agree that the last supper wasn't the traditional Passover meal as Jesus was crucified, as the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world, on that very day and time when the lambs were being killed.

Study Viewed: Does the Anti-Christ sit in a literal temple?
The first "Christians" , where probably a Taoist, Confucianist, and a Buddhist, as such I'm sure the god man, Jesus, is more than happy to accept all of Goodwill even Catholics! However it is very important to note that Jesus main mission here on earth was to provide a teaching vessel for humanity to learn and understand the ways of his kingdom, heaven. And it was the Catholic Church, the first pope of whom was St Peter, that he founded. Is a convert from previously worshiping in a Baptist Church, I did my research and understand the original apostolic succession and Catholicism!
Reply from JPN: Hi, the first 'Christians' (followers of Christ) were His Jewish disciples who followed the law of Moses, not Buddha. The main mission and purpose of Jesus' life, according to the Bible and Jesus' own words, was to be our Savior by dying on the cross (John 12:23-27, 1 John 4:14). Jesus founded His Church, without Popes and where all true believers are saints and priests unto God (Rom 1:7, 1 Cor 1:2, 1 Pet 2:5,9, Rev 1:6). Jesus is the only mediator between God and man (1Ti 2:5-6) so I hope you are trusting Him and Him alone for your salvation. God bless.
