The online devotionals I was using for years came to an end in 2023 and in my search for new daily studies this past year, I came across your website. After exploring it for a couple months, I decided to commit to the daily devotionals and I absolutely love them! I can hardly wait to wake up early to see what God has for me each day. I also love the power of “quotes” so I don’t miss soaking in the famous quote that’s included at the beginning of each day. LOVE!
Thank you for what you provide. It’s an incredible blessing! Reply from JPN: Hey that's great. The devotions are by Charles Spurgeon of course so are excellent. And glad you like the quotes.

Isaiah 45:9

Thank you Ian for the Spirit-led commentary on Isaiah 45:9 about the Potter and the clay. I want to read it again.
I totally get the idea of God being sovereign in every situation. For me, the challenge is, what am I to do in extremely trying circumstances? How does God want me to respond and react? Do we let people walk all over us or can we be firm, yet loving? I would welcome your thoughts on this. Thank you. Reply from JPN: Thanks and yes, knowing how to respond is the challenge as not every situation is the same. But our first steps are the same. We commit all situations unto Him and we thank Him in everything (1 Thes 5:18), knowing that He works all things for our good. I find Psalm 37 especially helpful as well in difficult times so please read and meditate on this great psalm. Jesus was meek, but never weak. So after committing your ways unto God, tell Him that you don't know exactly how to react but that you are trusting Him and let the peace of God rule, or be the umpire, in what you do. I have written a bit about this near the end of this study if interested. May God bless and give you clarity.

Hi Frank & Ian Gordon & spouses + Church brethren,
Really thank the Lord for your labor of love for His written Word. The contents in the website are rather Biblical, praise the Lord for that. Tried searching for Living Waters Church websites but not able to find it. Beware: the websites on the internet are confusing people searching that Church, For example,Living Waters Church is a Pentecostal denomination and etc. Hope to catch up with you brethren. Blessing. Reply from JPN: Hi, our LW church ended in 2020 so there isn't website info to find anymore. Previously it was just a part of the JPN website. Thanks.

What a brilliant exposition of the word of God! The exegesis was superb and very thorough and those very difficult chapters were very well explained. I sought some help in preparing for my Bible Study lesson at Church and your study was just what the doctor ordered. I would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Bible Prophecy and eschatology. I had all my questions answered and my dark understanding enlightened.
Thank you very much for making this available for us, I deeply appreciate it. God bless you richly and prosper and grow your Ministry. Reply from JPN: Thanks - And good on ya for studying Daniel and preparing a lesson for your church. The book of Daniel is all the more relevant in these days! Hope your message goes well.

Is Joseph Smith, "Messiah ben Joseph"
|
I have been studying this question for more than 40 years since I started researching the question as a fulltime missionary. I am satisfied that he (Joseph Smith Jnr, son of Joseph Smith Snr) is the "suffering servant", a forerunner to The Second Coming of Jesus Christ, Moses, Joseph of Egypt, the latter–day Joseph, and Jesus Christ are alike, and that the duty of the President of the office of the High Priesthood is to preside over the whole church, and to be like unto Moses.
Reply from JPN: Hi Peter, thanks for your thoughts but unfortunately Jesus and Joseph Smith are nothing alike. There are many serious issues, some of which are shown on this site below which I'd encourage you to examine. I'd also encourage you just read the Bible alone, not any of the other Mormon books, asking God to show you the truth. May God bless as you do so!

Hi, came across your site today looking for an introductory study to pass onto a young lady I briefly met on holidays and prayed with a few months back. Since then we have stayed in contact through messenger.. She is hesitant to go to church and doesn’t think she needs to read the bible to be a Christian. Appreciate your recommendation. thanks
Reply from JPN: Hi, without knowing what she knows maybe point her to this page on salvation that also uses Bible prophecy to show how incredible God's word is:

During this morning's devotion I knew in my spirit that I needed to zoom in on the mystery that was revealed in Christ, the hope of glory. As I meditated upon this most sacred and profound truth, I thought I'd do a little research and landed on your site. I was thoroughly blessed by your exposition and laughed loudly as I read along. You are a gifted writer based on how you interspersed knowledge with humor! May God richly bless you in your calling.
Reply from JPN: Nice! It is an important topic and truth. Glad it was both informative and enjoyable!

Reply from JPN: Thank you. The tabernacle has so many great pointers to Jesus. Glad it was clear and helpful for you.

The timing of Jesus' coming
|
Regarding the timing of Jesus' coming, I was wondering if His actual death and resurrection was in the year 33 AD and we are looking at possibly the millennial kingdom beginning 2000 years from that; putting that date around 2033 and the rapture around 2027? (Feast of Trumpets). I appreciate your insight and I know you stated that this is not doctrine but a 'type' but it is still very interesting. Thank you and I appreciate your studies and starting this new year, I felt the Lord was nudging me to focus on finishing the race well.
Reply from JPN: Yeah, the types around the 2 days / 2000 years before Jesus' return are very interesting and relevant! Most scholars place Jesus' death/resurrection/ascension between 30-33AD with 33AD probably the most accepted. We don't know the exact day or year of the rapture but we know it is close from both the Biblical signs of the times, the typology and timing for the Church age and the rapid decline and state of the world. So yeah, I like how you end... in view of all this, run and finish the race well! We are close!

I'm so encouraged to find such Biblical alignment and straight-forward, easy to read content! As a developing online writer, I'd like to link to and and/or cite some of your content on my own site, www.goodbye2hello.com.
I'd also love to hear back from you regarding my site which is designed in conjunction with off-line brochures that are available for curious seekers to pick up and perhaps start the journey with Jesus. Relative to my site, I was particularly pleased with your understanding of salvation and the threefold nature of sanctification! Beautiful site! Reply from JPN: Thanks! Your site looks really clean and well organised. I'd need to have more of a read but it looks like you have a lot of good content. Like the key takeaways on each page and strong focus on salvation in Christ - for both unbelievers and believers. Well done!

I am new to your website but “stumbled” across it by God’s grace. I was super excited to see your from Living waters in NZ north Island. I was first saved in Living Waters CHCH 23 years ago now. Thank you for making His word, accessible and understandable to all who seek it out. God bless your continued work and may the blessings of our Lord touch everyone connected to it.
From a fellow Kiwi Reply from JPN: Hi fellow Kiwi - you are a long way from what was home! Ours was a small independent church not associated with other Living Waters but great that you got saved down in Christchurch, and thanks for the prayer for the site!

I can't thank you enough for this website. I've been searching and searching for a proper study of the Tabernacle and I hit the jackpot. I looked all over your page to see if the complete tabernacle series came in a book that I could buy and couldn't find it. This is such a blessing. Thank you so much.
Reply from JPN: Gotta be happy hitting the jackpot! Yeah we don't have any books but just put all that we have on the site for free.
