The mystery of the 17th
|
I am a Christian, a committed student of the bible. I'm amazed at your wonderful post about the Mystery of the 17th. From the time I bumped into your site and this topic in particular, have read it not less than three time and I see an extra ordinary insight in your teaching. I love the way you connect these things to reveal beautifully Christ. I pray that you continue with such a good work of the Lord for this is what the world really needs.
Thanks, Yours in Christ, Achar Dan. Reply from JPN: Thanks Achar. I'm pleased that you liked that study. It is actually quite an old one but one that people often enjoy. God has hidden a lot more in this Old Testament stories than we know, especially about Jesus, so it is always enjoyable to dig deeper and find some of the gems He has hidden!

The study gave me a new insight of God and my undeserving nature, and yet God still wants me.
Reply from JPN: Thanks and good! Glad you saw that. We are all Mephibosheth who through grace find ourselves feasting at the King's table!

Wow! I have read many articles on the Terbanacle but this one is one of its kind. I have gotten so much insights.. Standing out is the Brazen Later as the word of God. May the Lord bless your ministry.
Reply from JPN: Awesome! Yeah I think we are only scratching the surface when it comes to the Tabernacle. God has put layer upon layer of truth hidden there.

Bible Study - Willing Submission & the Bride

Just wanted to say thanks for the insight and wisdom. I am officiating my friend's wedding next week. I did not have that on my ministry bingo card!
The main passage of the wedding sermon will be Ephesians 5:22-32, and this study has proven very helpful. Thanks! Reply from JPN: Ha... there are probably a few unexpected things on that card. All the best for the wedding

Psalm 110 and the order of Malchizedek

I came across this awesome page on Psalm 110 when studying Hebrews, I had a look around and came across the Heaven test and got very worried about the sight, but thankfully all the different answers preached the Gospel based on the responses!
Reply from JPN: Ha! Yeah the heaven test has thrown a few people off initially. I've had to answer a few questions on it and changed the button you push to say 'Rate my chances of heaven by my own goodness' - but who reads long buttons! Glad you could see that it is actually using the law (the schoolmaster) to show we CANNOT obtain salvation through our own works and why we need a Savior!

Job's hope in the resurrection and Redeemer!
|
I have to say I think the Book of Job is so beautiful. It also most takes my breath away when I read from this article of yours- 'Job 19:25-27 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes--I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!' Can't wait till our Redeemer comes for us. Thank you for posting the beautiful news of our Redeemer on this website. Blessings to you and yours. Reply from JPN: Yeah... You and me both! Blessings!
PS Job is awesome. And arguably being the oldest book in the Bible, his knowledge of the resurrection is remarkable! And a good reminder from Job for our day - Job 12:13-25 |

Many! Latest, Revelation 22
|
I used to listen to your sermons and teachings a lot. But, for one reason or another, I had not for quite awhile. Then, one day I wondered if you were still even online and searched. Behold!! It is like finding an old friend. ♥️
Today, my husband asked a question about Revelation 22. John is reprimanded for attempting to worship the angel. Then in the next verse, it is obviously Jesus speaking. Our guess is that John’s vision was probably a descriptive hiatus between chapters 3 - 22 and once again Jesus resumes His discourse? Maybe even something getting lost in the translation? Reply from JPN: Hey, welcome back! Yeah Jesus speaks in several verses in Rev 22, for the first time since Rev 3. He speaks both before (vs 7) and after (vs 12-16) John hears from the angel (6,8-11). John himself was called up into heaven in chapter 4 and was shown various visions of what is to come after the church age, right through to 22:5.

God's voice

I stumbled on your site while googling a question. I'm so glad, and my question was answered! I would like to ask you a question and I hope this is not out of line on this post. I hear so many people say "God told me this" and "God told me that". They look at me strangely when I tell them I don't hear Him. I WANT to hear Him and in my prayers I used to ask, prayed to hear Him. After a few years I stopped asking.... Why can't I hear Him the way others do? It sometimes makes me think maybe I'm NOT saved, and that scares me.
Reply from JPN: Hi, well that's not a bad 'stumble'! The natural man/woman doesn't understand the things of God (1 Cor 2:14) so if have heard the gospel, believed and responded then you have heard from God. You wouldn't believe otherwise... so be encouraged! God speaks in many ways (through people, creation, His still small voice, bringing scripture to mind, our sense of peace when praying over issues etc) but the primary way God speaks today is through His word, the Bible. He won't ever contradict His word. Very few Christians have heard the audible voice of God - and look at the reaction of Peter, James and John in Mat 17:6-7 when they did! And in some Christian circles, unfortunately, many things can be attributed to what God supposedly said or did, which... He didn't! So don't be discouraged. Realize that He speaks in different ways but stay in His word and keep thanking Him for all that He has given you. Blessings!

Elisha “How far do you want to go?”

I’ve known for a long time now the special calling on my life. I’ve also dipped into that calling. After reading this study I realize now how important it is to “take up our cross daily” in order for that calling to really be fulfilled in my life. I’ve seen many miracles in my life, real miracles in the ministries that Gods let me be apart of.. but the real miracles come when we lay our lives down and follow Him with abandon. Thank you.
Reply from JPN: And thank you. Really pleased God has used it to speak and reconfirm the importance of walking with, and surrendering to, Him. Press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus! (Phil 3:12-14)

I was recently directed to your site and I feel so blessed. I am voraciously reading your studies and exploring your links. Everything is in line with God's Word. Thank you for being a voice in the wilderness for the Lord God Jesus. I am also impressed by your grace when responding to caustic comments and pray the Lord makes those voices have peace and become good soil for the seeds being offered to them. God has blessed you to bless others. I am your sister in Christ, please let me know how I can best support your work.
Reply from JPN: Thanks Dawn! Really pleased the site and studies have blessed you. And thank you for the offer of support. Prayer and sharing with others who you believe it will help is always appreciated! And yeah... sometimes 'grace' isn't my first thought with snarky caustic comments. But Prov 15:1 and Rom 12:14-18 'mostly' win out in the end!
