Readers Question / Comment - Are all believers disciples?
JPN Reply:
Hi,
the Greek word for disciple is:
math-ay-tes'
From G3129; a learner, that is, pupil: - disciple. Are all believers a learner or pupil of Jesus Christ? If they are true believers then Yes. Do we have times when we fail at this and choose to go our way? Scripture and experience says Yes. But the call of all believers is to learn, follow and be a pupil of Jesus Christ obviously. Being a 'believer' involves more than just giving mental ascent to a given truth. So the answer to your question would be yes but to different degrees of success as we learn to follow Him with our whole heart.
All the best.
